1. Go to the page where you want to add the file, select Add Web Gem, select where you want to add it and then choose Sound On Your Web Site.
2. The first thing you will be asked to do is choose the sound file.
3. Click Browse and the File Open dialog appears. You can browse to the correct file. If the name of the file you choose contains characters that are not supported by some web servers, the spaces will be changed to underscore characters, and other changes may be made to make the file name safer for most web servers and web browsers.
4. Once you have uploaded the sound file, select Done.
5. Write text explaining what the sound is, so your visitors can know whether they want to listen to it. If the file to be played is large, it's considered "good web manners" to tell visitors its size. (You can read its size in the Windows Explorer, opposite its name.) Sound from Grandma's 75th Birthday - 750kb
6. You can click Preview to make sure the current file is the sound you wanted to pick. (TRUE?) Select Choose when you are done with your selections.
7. A placeholder will appear in your web page. The placeholder consists of the text that you entered to describe the sound file. Once you preview or publish your web site, you will be able to hear and test the functioning of your sound files.
